Office Visits

Before visiting our office for the first time, please take the time to fill out the online patient forms and review the HIPAA policy. If you cannot do that before your appointment, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled visit to allow time to fill out the forms in the office. Bring your insurance card with you, and please notify the front desk if there are any changes to your address or insurance.

During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history, listen to your goals for treatment, and do a thorough clinical examination,  including digital X-rays and photos of your mouth. Once all the appropriate data is gathered, Dr. Isaacson or Dr. Barclay will discuss their findings with you.

A tentative plan, sometimes with several options depending on the complexity of your case, will be developed. Fee estimates will be presented  to you at the next visit. We can pre-determine your plan with most insurance companies. Treatment plans are estimates only, and sometimes circumstances change. Insurance estimates are no guarantee of coverage.

At your cleaning visit, our hygienists will clean your teeth, and go over brushing and flossing techniques and product recommendations. A recommended interval between cleanings will be suggested. It can be three, four, or six months, depending on your individual needs.

Occasionally a thorough cleaning cannot be completed in one hour and you may need additional visits. If you experience discomfort, please let your hygienist know, as we have multiple options for your comfort.

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!
