Meet the Dentists

Dr. Isaacson

Dr. Susan Isaacson

Dr. Isaacson graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1979 and completed her dental residency in Hospital Dentistry at the University of Washington in 1980.

In 1981 she opened a small private practice downtown, while teaching at the University of Washington Dental Education for the Care of the Disabled and providing care in local community clinics. In 1990, she moved her practice to its current location in Belltown.

She chose general dentistry because of its blend of artistry, biology, engineering and psychology. Dr. Isaacson enjoys working with children and watching them grow, as well as people who have not seen a dentist in a long time with challenging issues. She enjoys the aspect of cosmetic bonding and crowns, when she can hand her patients a mirror and have them be amazed at their transformation. She also enjoys a diagnostic challenge, where someone may have been uncomfortable for a while and have the answer hidden in their teeth. Dr. Isaacson is committed to promoting public heath and has done volunteer dentistry in Haiti, India, Guatemala and Israel. She feels lucky to live in the Pacific Northwest where she has been able to attend seminars advocating excellence in dentistry by Dr. John Kois and Dr. Frank Spears. Dr. Isaacson is married, has three children and a mutt named Sydney. After her third child, she suffered from adult onset athleticism, and participated in a number of Century bike rides, half marathons and sprint triathlons. Now she enjoys yoga, being outdoors and riding her bike when the weather is nice.
